This Unit Control Panel (UCP) equipped with a SIL 2 Allen Bradley Controllogix PLC will be acting as a process control / safeguarding system for an offshore seawater Electro-chlorination package onboard a FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) facility.

The Electro-chlorination package is designed to generate sodium hypochlorite from seawater and inject this in multiple locations to prevent biofouling of downstream equipment. The UCP is designed with a redundant set of CPU’s which increases the availability of the PLC system and therefore the operational reliability of the end customer.

The software development (functional logics) for this project was a nice challenge, as the specific process was new to PriCall.
Through intensive cooperation between the client project developers and our software specialists, we have succeeded in developing a functional design that compliments the specifications of the end user and the quality requirements of PriCall.

After the usual extensive Functional Acceptance Test at the PriCall facility, we also provided commissioning support during the Pre - Site Acceptance Test at the customers warehouse where the complete “field” situation of the electro-chlorination package was operational.
The UCP system could be fully functional tested under process conditions, which will reduce the time required for on-site commissioning.
